I believe in

These are just a few things I believe in. They might change in time, but I recognize their development in my belief system, so I do not really expect them to change dramatically. They are listed here because I would like to promote these ideas.

denes lenardMulticulturalism: what I mean is that I think there is an advantage where different cultures live together, as opposed to next to each other. By culture I mean not just ethnic groups, but also other types of groups. I also believe that the first duty of a person as a member of the group is to respect all members from other groups. Then, I think it is important to try to understand both the own cultures and other cultures. I think it can be said that each individual belongs to cultures, and there is never such a thing as a single culture.

Lenard DenesQuestioning authority: in general I believe that everything which comes from highly appreciated authorities has a good chance of being either overrated or complete bullshit (with all the nuances in between). Not everything has to be this way, but I believe it is worth trying to question everything you yourself believe in.

ExtropianismExtropianism: while I am not acquainted too well with the movement, I believe the idea of designing something in such a way so that it can continuously improve is good. I find these principles interesting.

Denes LenardEducation: I believe that continually learning is very important and good education brings about a strong competitive advantage. I also think that books are still the most important source of knowledge humanity has.

Lenard DenesHuman rights: while this concept is very vague, I think that there is genuine progress when human rights are respected to a bigger extent. The issue about what human rights are, is sometimes problematic, but despite this, I think we are better off with the idea of human rights.

Lenard DenesScientific approach: by this I mean having a scientific approach in acquiring knowledge. I also believe there are other useful approaches which make a human being complete, but for practical purposes a scientific approach is more useful.

Denis LennardMorals: I believe that moral education is one of the most important things for youth. I also think that ethics and aesthetics go very much together and that there is a connection to biology. I also appreciate the development of the moral sense due to education and I believe that much can be achieved through good moral education.
