Migrants in Romania
I just learned about he website Migrant.ro from Silviu. So that’s a resource for people who move to Romania.
Migrant issues in Romania are underaddressed. And then, the issue of tens of thousands of Saxons moving from Romania in the last 20 years is still not talked about. This will prove to be one of the biggest losses for Romania in the 20th century.
Here are some interesting resource:
Two websites for people from Bassarabia: Basarabeni.ro and Romanian Citizenship
Right now one can find that there are a lot of Asian people who move to Romania. Some criticize this, but I think it can be a great cultural resource for the country. Unfortunately there is not much done to actually integrate them into Romanian culture. I am not talking about assimilation but about having them interact with Romanians. Romanians are very welcoming people and they are very interested in people from other cultures. But they need to have the opportunity to do this. Most Chinese people who come to Romania find themselves in a strange country and because of this they may easily prefer to stick to their community. There should be more efforts to create new bridges.
